Eugene Peart

Academy Director

Coach Eugene has coached at various high schools and youth clubs for the past 15 years and has been overseeing the coaching at Mid-Iowa FC for the past two years. He played collegiately at Mount Mercy University and earned all conference honors as a goalkeeper his Junior year.
Coach Eugene played goalkeeper for his entire career, traveling to Germany to train in 2002 and becoming the National Goalie War Association National Champion in 2004. Eugene lives in Grinnell with his wife and family and has two children playing soccer for GPS.

Steve Sieck

Academy Director

Coach Steve joined Mid-Iowa FC in 2014 as a parent and assistant coach. Over the past 5 years, coach Steve has worked hard at studying soccer youth development and has earned his National D coaching license. He also serves as MIFC board president.
He competed in track as a sprinter while an undergraduate at Loras College and is a professor in the chemistry department at Grinnell College.
Steve lives in Grinnell with his wife and children and has two children playing soccer for GPS.

Assistant Coaches

The Academy Directors will be assisted by Select assistant coaches who will be on a rotation between the Select teams and the Academy teams. This is to enhance the learning experience of our young assistant coaches and to provide quality assistance to our Academy directors.
